Killing pain after getting tooth pulled?

I had to get two teeth pulled raw yesterday and the pain was excrutiating. Apparently I couldn't get novacaine shots because I react badly to them, so i'm on 2 800mg ibuprofen but they aren't helping whatsoever and my two missing teeth are still killing me. Is there anything I can ask my doctor to maybe perscribe that will "knock me out?" I know there's some really potent pain killers out there I just haven't a clue what's available out there and I still can't talk to my doctor tommorow. I'm thinking of taking 3 tablets but 2400mg of medicine would be a tad much...
