Bicurious girls, who do they usually have relationships with?

Okay so it's quite common for mostly women to go through a bi-curious phase and half the time they do have lesbian relationships or hookups during this time but do they usually get involved with true lesbians or bisexuals, or other bi-curious girls? Because I would think most lesbians and true bisexuals would find that kind of relationship unstable, since the bicurious girl would most likely break up with her for a man. What's been your experience?
